Our Story
Our journey began in 1998 with the founding of Unity Healthcare LLC, a dedicated staffing agency, alongside the C. Ross Educational Center, honoring a legacy of education and empowerment.
By 2002, we expanded our impact, launching the Optimum Training Center to provide CNA training, CPR certification, and courses in medical terminology and phlebotomy.
In 2017, we deepened our community engagement with the Garden Homes Community Health Fair, now an annual event. Through partnerships, we’ve provided vital resources, including Covid-19 relief efforts for over 700 families, flu and vaccination clinics, and back-to-school giveaways, aiming to distribute 2,000 backpacks in 2024.
December 2022 marked the return of the Angel Tree program, bringing holiday joy to families in need, and strengthened our collaboration with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for flu and Covid vaccinations.
In January 2023, we formalized our commitment by founding OYAM Nonprofit, dedicated to veterans' support, food assistance, school supply drives, and toy giveaways—a continuation of our mission to uplift and empower our community.
